Many of you may not realize that SecureCare has an advisory board or its contributing role. Providers need to understand why the advisory board is vital to you and to the conservative care professions.
SecureCare prides itself on creating mutually beneficial relationships between payers and providers. In my four years serving as the advisory board chairman and serving as the advisory board representative on the SecureCare Board of Directors, I have witnessed this firsthand. SecureCare understands that the provider, payer, and patient must all win to achieve success. This model has proven successful in states where SecureCare currently holds payer contracts.
SecureCare distinguished itself from other network management companies in the industry by creating the advisory board and has invested considerable time and energy in building a relationship with state associations. SecureCare is the only network management company that has designed an advisory board to provide input back to SecureCare. The results of their efforts can help shape the future of conservative care. The advisory board consists of representatives from multiple states and seats a voting representative on the SecureCare Board. This allows the advisory board’s message to be delivered to the entire SecureCare Board of Directors.
The advisory board brings the perspective of the state associations and providers in each state to the attention of SecureCare. No one knows the healthcare landscape in their state better than the state association who takes an active role in working with providers and payers. The decision by SecureCare to develop relationships allows the providers’ experience in each state to be considered as conversations with payers to evolve.
The SecureCare Advisory Board meets four to five times per year. During these meetings, they share experiences specific to their individual states and from their specific vantage points. The feedback and input from the advisory board allow the SecureCare Board of Directors and executive staff to consider their local perspective and experiences as business decisions are made.
The advisory board input plays an essential role. As a SecureCare provider, this is important to you since your voice, through your state association, can be heard and considered. SecureCare continues to distinguish themselves from their competitors. Their unique management strategy is simple, efficient, and fair. SecureCare builds deep and lasting relationships founded on trust and respect with both providers and payers, and it is this approach that has proven to forge productive win-win partnerships. This should lead to more payers choosing SecureCare as their network management solution.
Currently, the advisory board is identifying a new candidate for the SecureCare Board representative. I will be stepping down from the advisory board and SecureCare Board of Directors in the coming months as I transition in 2021 to my new role as the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association Executive Director.
I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside the advisory board members, and I am confident that they will select an excellent candidate to replace me on the SecureCare Board. It is my hope that as SecureCare continues to grow and prosper, the role, responsibility, and importance of the advisory board will become even more critical.
